Based a few miles outside the historic city of York, we are ideally located to serve clients across Yorkshire with efficiency, flexibility, and a personal touch.
Our team is made up of young, enthusiastic operators, and drivers who are truly passionate about what they do. We combine this energy with a comprehensive, ongoing training program for every employee, ensuring our team stays at the forefront of industry standards.

Tim Garland, Managing Director
With a solid foundation in construction management and a passion for building strong, sustainable operations, Tim leads our business with vision and drive.
After graduating from university in his early 20s, Tim began his career as a construction site manager for a respected London-based firm. There, he gained hands-on experience overseeing complex projects and developing his leadership skills on-site.
Driven by a desire to bring that expertise back to his roots, Tim returned to his hometown of York to join the family business as Managing Director. He quickly took the reins of the company’s contracting division, steering it through a period of significant growth and development.
Under Tim’s leadership, the success of the contracting arm eventually outpaced the company’s original focus on self-drive plant hire. In 2024, he made the strategic decision to retire the self-drive hire service and fully commit to what the team does best—Operated Plant Hire, Groundworks, Contracting, and Agricultural Services.
Tim’s forward-thinking approach and dedication to quality have been instrumental in shaping the company’s direction and ongoing success.
Outside of work, Tim is very much a family man. He and his wife Michelle recently acquired a small family farm, where they’re enjoying a new kind of project—rearing sheep & cows. With the help of their four children, they’re embracing country life together.

Important information
The nature of our business is changing.
To customers, past, present and future, we will continue to provide our Plant Operator and Groundwork services.
However we will no longer be hiring out plant, tools and powered access on a self drive basis.
